After had class in Daffodils, they are riding bicycle along the way and make conversations…..

Dani : Guys, have you had meal?

Arum : Not yet, how about you?

Dani : We’re in the same boat. I haven’t had breakfast yet…

Acyu : Hey, don’t take too long. Let’s get something to eat…

Dini : That’s a good idea. I’m hungry…

Arum : Not only hungry, but I’m starving to death. I can’t hold it any longer..

Acyu : Which food stall we’d choose to eat?

Arum : Actually I don’t know what I want to eat..

Dani : How about Ketan Susu? I’m so curious with that place because it’s so popular in Pare…

Dini : I agree with you. Everyone says about that, we must try it!!

Arum : What do you all wanna order?

Dani : Cihuuuiii…. You wanna treat us? Oh, How friendly you are!

Dini : You are so generous, Arum. I salute to you. You’re really my best friend ever..

Arum : Whaaaattt??? Hey, it’s not on me today!

Acyu : But, you will be more beautiful if you treat us Arum :p

Dani : More beautiful?? No no no, but you’ll be the most beautiful girl in Ketan Susu Food Stall :D

Arum : What are you all talking about? I’m flat broke now so GO DUTCH!!

Dini : Omaigaaatt,, you are so stingy Arum, heuh!! :p

Arum : What did you say Dini? How could you say two different expressions in a time? At first you said I’m generous, but then I’m stingy.. huuuufftt..

Dini : I said that to persuade you on purpose. Hehe

Arum : Ahh… whatever you all say, just order and go dutch. By the way, I like to have ketan susu and a glass of ice tea, and you guys?

Dani : I want to have cold plain water and ketan susu of course..

Arum : Cold plain water?? Why do you always order it?

Dani : What’s the matter? Problem with you? haha

Arum : Oh please, why I care about you.. ihh, it’s not important for me at all…

Dini : Stop debating something useless! I order ketan susu and a glass of warm milk. How about you Acyu?

Acyu : Not yet, I don’t feel like to eat. Maybe I just like to have something to drink..

Arum : Are you on diet Acyu? OMG, you are so thin!!

Acyu : Haha of course not, I have no reason to do diet. I’m full…

Dini : But you haven’t had breakfast, it’s better if you have something to eat. Don’t you wanna try Ketan susu? It looks so delicious..

Acyu : No thank, I’ll take fried banana to eat..

Dini : Oh okay, so what do you want to drink?

Acyu : A glass of ice orange, please..

Yangga : Hy guys, what’s up? What are you doing here?

Dani : We’re taking a bath! Of course we’re eating Yangga (LOL)

Yangga : Ah sh*t!! You don’t invite me to join you, right?

Dani : Sorry bro, we went here straight after we finished our study in Daffodils. Please, have a seat…

Yangga : I see. Thanks. Hey, who are those gilrs?

Dani : Arum and Dini. They are our friends in Daffodils. Guys, this’s Yangga, my roommate..

Arum & Dini : Hy Yangga, how do you do?

Yangga : How do you do. So, may I join you?

Arum & Dini : Yes, of course. Come on join us…

Acyu : Where have you been Yangga? Just from our camp?

Yangga : Yes, I’m so starving, then I come here and meet you all. Hey, I want to eat Penyet Chicken..

Acyu : What?? Don’t you know? That’s not available here. There are only ketan susu, noodle, some drinks, and some fried foods..

Yangga : Ketan susu? Sounds interesting. I want it, please..

Arum : Sorry Yangga, the owner just said that ketan susu is out of order..

Dani : How pity you are! Wkwk

Yangga : Stop it Dani!! You are so cruel!! It’s my last choice, I order egg noodle and a cup of coffee..

Dini : Now, you are lucky because there are still lots supplies of noodle and coffee :p

Yangga : Get me some water, please? I’m so thirsty..

Dini : You have two hands and feet so help yourself! Hehe :p

Arum : What takes the meal too long?

Acyu : Wait for few minutes and the meal will be ready to serve. Look at! The meals are coming!

Yangga : Dani, how is the taste of your food? Does it taste good?

Dani : Yeah, of course. It’s so tasty.. Ketan susu.. emmmm..yummmyy…really really maknyuuussss.. wanna taste it?

Yangga : Yes, may I?

Dani : No no no, it’s my food. You can eat your own food. Hahaha

Yangga : D*mn it! You are so annoying! I’m so mad at you!!!

Dani : It’s your own business.. haha.. and now, I’m stuffed..

Arum : Oh my God, you both are like wife and husband..

Dini : Are you couple??

Acyu : hahaha so funny!

Arum : And you are their son, acyu??

Acyu : Whaaaattt?? NO WAY!! I don’t want to have parents like them. It’s terrible.

Yangga : Hey Arum & Dini, How can you say that we’re couple?? It’s so disgusting if I become a couple with Dani. Hueeekkk…

Dani : Heh,, why are you so confident?? I don’t want to have a partner like you either… Hueeeekkk ciiihhh *spit* …

Arum, Dini, Acyu : Huahahahahahaha :’)

Arum : Uhuk-uhuk,,, I’m choked!

Acyu : Don’t be too hurry when you are eating..

Yangga : It’s because you always bully me, Arum. So you get consequence then…haha

Dini : I said sorry Dani..

Acyu : Hey guys, do you want some more?

Yangga : Yes, I want some more, not noodle but ketan susu…

Arum : Hey Yangga, this is my left over food… maybe you want to take it?? haha

Yangga : No thanks Arum! My beautiful life and happiness can end here if I eat your left over food. I’m able to dead! hueeekk,,

Dani : But you gotta try it, Yangga! It’s so delicious! You’ll be regret if you never try.

Yangga : Calm down, tomorrow I’ll come here again and try!

Acyu : Wow, you’re so excited!! Good good…

Dini : Eh, Arum.. Anyway, it’s daylight robbery for me cuz actually I only bring some money and it’s not enough to pay my food. Let’s share for the meal?? Hehe

Arum : Yaelaaahh… okay okay.. I want to treat you for this case..

Dini : Really?? Are so serious?? Hurray!!

AJ Hoge _ 7 rules to speak English easily

I hope you are doing great because in this chance I would like to share special secrets to improve our English. You wanna know?? Okay, here we are….

Do you know AJ Hoge? Or Have you ever heard AJ Hoge? I’m sure some of you have heard that name and the others not yet. Okay, before I tell you about AJ Hoge, I’m gonna tell you how can I get this. I got it from my English course in Pare and my teacher gave some records about it. I listened to them for many times and finally I decided to write it down in my blog. I hope it can help us to learn English easily.

Now, I’m gonna tell you about him and what the lesson he teachs about. AJ Hoge is an English teacher and he has master degree in teaching english. He lives in San Fransisco, USA. He likes to enjoy travel, scuba diving, motorcycle riding, movies, and learning Spanish.

He teachs about 7 rules to speak English faster and more easily.

Rule 1 : STOP STUDYING ENGLISH WORD

Yeah, don’t memorize English singular/individual word, but memorize phrases. Always study and review phrases. Phrase is a group of many words that has a meaning. It’s usually called as ideom and It will help you study English faster.

For example :

Below are some of simple ideoms for conversations. I got it when I was studying Speak First in Daffodils, Pare.

As a matter of fact : Kenyataannya

Catch a cold : flu/ masuk angin

Every Jack must have his Jill : Setiap orang pasti ketemu jodohnya

Love me little, Love me long : Cintai aku selamanya

Heart to heart conversation : Curhat

I guess by studying phrases or ideoms, it will help us to study English faster because native speaker doesn’t speak word by word, but they speak using ideoms and slanks. So, let’s study together .

Rule 2 : STOP STUDYING GRAMMAR

There is a story from Angelina. She is a student from Paraguay. When she studied with AJ Hoge, she couldn’t speak in English. She had studied English grammar for many years but she couldn’t speak. She was surprised when she knew that AJ Hoge never told about grammar rules. After only two weeks something amazing happened. Her speaking improved!! Angelina is a great student and she learned extrafast and she listened English for 5 hours a day. But AJ Hoge said that we can improve our English by listen English for one hour a day and we can get same result, but we must follow Rule 2, STOP STUDYING GRAMMAR! Grammar teachs us to think about English, whereas we have to speak English automatically without thinking. So, put away your grammar books and stop studying grammar right now :D.

Rule 3 : LISTENING, LISTENING, AND LISTENING

There is a story from Omberto. He is from Venezuela and he moved to Canada few years ago. He studied English in Venezuela for many years. In fact, Omberto studied English by his eyes, by reading text book, by studying grammar book, and by remembering words. He told his English was good but when he came to Canada, he was surprised and shocked. He couldn’t understand anyone. He joined English school in Canada and he went to school everyday. There were more text books and more grammar books. After twelve months in school, Omberto was angry and frustrated. His school cost over ten thousand dollars for one year. But he still couldn’t speak English and he didn’t know what to do. But now, he can speak engish and he always speaks with Canadian. What rule?? Rule 3 is the most important rule. Rule 3 is Listening, Listening, and Listening. Stop reading text book, and start listening everyday. Learn with your ears, not with your eyes. You should listen one or three hours everyday. This is powerful method. Try it!! 

Rule 4 : LEARN DEEPLY, SPEAK EASILY

Hyun is a student from Korea said “I’m very serious student. When studying English in Korea, I memorize 50.000 english words for a big test. My problem was I couldn’t use them. I can pass English test but I couldn’t understand native speakers. Here with AJ Hoge, I learn automatically use the vocabulary and after six months I could speak English easily. I didn’t need to think. Thank you so much.”

And AJ Hoge said : Hyun learned a lot of words in a short time. Her learning was short. That’s why she quickly forgot the words, that’s why she couldn’t use them. The secret to speak easily is to learn every word and phrase deeply. It’s not enough to know a definition. It’s not enough to remember for a test. You must put the words deep into your brain. To speak English easily, you must repeat each lesson many times. You must learn English deeply. Learn deeply, speak easily. How to learn deeply? Easy!! Just repeat all lessons or listening many times. For example, if you have audio book, listen to the first chapter 30 times before you go to second chapter. You could listen to the first chapter three times a day for ten days. So, be patient guys 

Rule 5 : USE POINT OF VIEW MANY STORIES

In rule 2, AJ Hoge told us never to study grammar rules, but of course we want to use English correct grammar. Maybe we’re thinking how can we learn English grammar if we don’t study English grammar rules? Well, in this rule 5, AJ Hoge will tell us. He would teach us way to learn grammar naturally. Use this method and our grammar will improve automatically. You will automatically use the correct verb tense. You won’t think, you won’t try hard.

Story : Miyuki did very well in grammar test. She knew all the grammar rules. But miyuki had a problem. She couldn’t use the grammar in real conversation. She could explain the past tense but when speaking she would say “yesterday, I go to school”. Miyuki was confused. How can the grammar test was so good but her speaking was so bad. But after using point of view stories, she feels it and uses it correctly. Now, her grammar is great when she speak. She never think about it and she just automatically use correct grammar. Thank you AJ Hoge.

AJ Hoge said : Miyuki learned this grammar naturally. She never studied grammar rules. How did you do it? First, she listened to short story in the present tense. She listened to it everyday. Then, she listened to the exact same story but this time is when 10 years ago. She learned to feel the past tense by listening to the story. Next, I gave her the exact same story. This time is happened with since 2004. Miyuki learned to feel the perfect tenses by listening to this story. Finally, I gave her the exact same story beginning with next year. She learned to feel the future tense simply by listening to this story.

Rule 5, use point of view many stories. He called these stories point of view many stories. Use point of view many stories for automatical grammar. You must learn grammar by listening to real English. The best way is to listen to the same story in different times. Point of view, past, perfect, present, future. How do you do this? It’s easy. Find the story in the present tense, then ask your native speaker to write it again in the past with perfect tenses and in the future. Finally ask him to read and record the story for you. Then, you can listen to the story many different kind of grammar. You don’t need to know the grammar rule. Just listen to the point of view story and you will improve your grammar automatically. You can also find point of view lessons and use them to learn grammar automatically. It’s powerful, it’s simple. It’s successful. You will succeed if you use grammar naturally and automatically. This is a secret to english grammar. How to learn real English.

Rule 6 : LEARN REAL ENGLISH, NOT TEXT BOOK

Magdeleo studied English for five years in Venezuela. Teacher said that he was a good student. One day, he talked to American woman and everything changed. The woman started talking and he couldn’t understand her, not at all. Her pronunciation was different with the text book. She used ideom, slank, and many casual phrases. He was confused and he realized that he needed to learn real English.

AJ Hoge told Magdeleo to learn with real English materials. Learning English we use everyday in conversations, books, movies, tv shows, komic books, audio books, newspapers, magazines, radio talkshow and broadcasts. Stop learning text book English. If you want to understand native speaker, you must stop learning English from text book. To learn real English, you must listen to English that native speaker listen to. You must watch what they watch. You must read what they read. Listen only to real English.

Rule 7 : LISTEN AND ANSWER, NOT LISTEN AND REPEAT

Emy is Japanese woman had a problem. Her speaking was slow. She could not answer question quickly. She listened and repeated what the speaker said. And AJ Hoge recommended her to listen and answer many stories. He told that listen and repeat is not enough, but listen and answer, you need to think. By using this method, emy can improve her English. Use listen and answer many story lessons. In the story, speaker told short simple story and he also asked a lot of easy questions. Everytime you hear question, you post and answer. You learn to answer question quickly without thinking. Your English becomes automatically. How can you use listen and answer story? Easy. Find the native speaker, ask him to use this method, ask him to tell you a story and give question about it. These would teach you to think quickly in English. This is the last rule.

So guys, you got it?? Emm.. I think the rules are interesting but actually I have a problem with native speaker because I have no friend from abroad, I mean there is no native speaker for me. How can I ask them to help me improve my English. Yeach, this is my problem and still confusing until now. Haha. But it’s okay. There must be a way to reach Rome!! 

BAD ATTITUDE IN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Monday, June 6 2012, there is final exam in Senior High School. The students have prepared for the lesson, but there are two students who feel afraid to do that because they haven’t prepared. Both of them have a plan to cheat on exam. What will happen to them?? Check This Out!!

Jono : Hy guys, come over here! Have you prepared for final exam?

Zam : Of course not yet, we always hang out everyday.

Arum : What??? Are you kidding? This is final exam guys,, You should study hard for this exam.

Jono : Don’t worry, I have a good idea!

Zam : What is your idea? Tell me!

Jono : Listen up! I have plan make a small letter to cheat on exam. Do you want to join me?

Arum : What? Oh my God!! Don’t do that!!

Zam : Hey…that’s sounds good. I believe that we’ll pass the exam.

Jono : Yes, you are right!!

Arum : No!!! This is wrong way. If the teacher knows your cheat, you will be punished and maybe the teacher will ask you to get out from this class. Then, you can’t pass the exam.

Jono : Okay, up to you!! If you don’t want, don’t follow me.

Arum : Huuufftt,, okay, up to you!!

Zam : Yeach!!

(The teacher come in to the class)

Teacher : Good morning.

Students : Good morning.

Teacher : How are you today?

Students : Great!!

Teacher : Are you ready for exam?

Students : Yes, I’m ready!

Teacher : Okay, Good! I’m gonna give you this exam questions and you must do it quietly. Don’t be noisy and don’t cheat!!

(The students do the exam, but suddenly, they make noisy situation.)

Jono : Arum, can you give me your answer?

Arum : No way!! I’m afraid of the teacher. She will get angry with me.

Jono : Oh.. you’re so stingy.

Arum : I’m not stingy, I just feel afraid. I think you can do it, Jono!

(Jono can’t get Arum’s answer, so he opens his small letter to cheat on exam.)

Jono : Have you finished, Zam?

Zam : Not yet, how about you?

Jono : Of course, I’m done! I have this small letter.

Zam : Can you give me your answer?

Jono : Okay.

Teacher : Hey students, what are you doing?

Students : No miss, nothing.

Teacher : What is this? You cheat on exam! Get out from my class!!

Jono : Please miss, don’t chase me away.

Arum : Yes miss, please.. forgive him.

Zam : Please miss…

Teacher : No!! You must get out!!

Finally, Jono and Zam get out from the class. They can’t pass the exam. The moral value is we must be honest because being a success person need an effort, it’s not instant. So, be honest person Guys!! You will be success!!

Driver : Hy miss, wake up!! We’ve exactly arrived in Pare…

Arum : Oh okay, but what time is it?

Driver : It’s three a.m. …

Arum : Whaaaaatttt?? You must be joking!! It’s too early and I can sleep well just now…

Driver : Sorry for wake you up so early but you must get off from this car…

Arum : I absolutely don’t know about this place. What should I do??

Fahmi : Chill out Arum, My brother and I will keep you company till the sun shines and you find your camp.
Okay?

Faisal : That’s right! Take it easy sistaa…

Arum : Thank you very much. Even though, we just knew each other but you both are very kind to me…

Fahmi : Hahaha. That’s what friends are supposed to do. By the way, may I have your phone number? Who knows someday we can meet again...

Arum : My number is 085xxxxxxxxx, we make friends and you can get in touch with me anytime you want…

Driver : Okay Arum, I’m relieved you’re with these guys. So, may I leave now? Because I’m still having long journey...

Arum : Yes, of course sir… thanks for take me here…

Drive : You’re welcome… Take care of you all, guys… I’m leaving... Good Bye…

Fahmi : How about going to mosque? It’s near from here…

Faisal : Yeah. It’s better than we’re here like homeless, it’s so pathetic…

Arum : Alright, let’s go!

In the mosque…….

Arum : (talk to herself) O Gee, I must have got up on the wrong side of bed that I could get this problem. How can I sleep in this mosque? I’d never done it before. It must be kidding!! But I need take a rest because my body gets weak and I’m still sleepy. Hoaaamm… Alright, I decide to sleep here. Hope everything’s gonna be okay.

All of sudden, there is sounds of Adzan Shubuh……

Arum : (gets up) Oh.. It’s really unsatisfied sleeping. I need more time to sleep but I have to pray subuh. It’s so cold. I’m shivering. Brrr…

Faisal : Hy Arum, don’t you wanna sleep anymore? It’s still early..

Arum : No, I wanna call my mom to let her knows my condition here..

On the phone…..

Mother : . Assalamualaikum.. Hallo Arum, are you okay there? How can you arrive in Pare so early?

Arum : Waalaikumsalam. Actually I’m shocked mom, it’s faster than our estimation. But, no need to worry because there are my friends here so I don’t feel lonely and afraid..

Mother : Your friends? Who are they?

Arum : They are Fahmi and Faisal. They are blood relative. I ran into them in the car and they were going to Pare, same as me.

Mother : Thank goodness.. Take care of yourself and study hard there, honey…

Arum : Yes mom, I’ll do my best to study English and won’t let you down. Okay, I’ll call you again later. Assalamualaikum…

Mother : Good Luck, my daughter. Waalaikumsalam…

JUST THE WAY YOU ARE

Everybody has their own strenght and positive thing, but some of them don’t have self confidence. They can’t fight against their lack of confidence and most of them are teenagers. This is the mindset that one has always wanted to show his/her modern side without enhance their confidence first. So that, the minus factor will be more dominant than positive factor and it can impedes every step of people.

I have two cases for this topic. The first is about a novel writer who named Adelia. Adelia is 25 years old. She has graduated from one of university in Indonesia and her major is Indonesian Literature. She has stucked from writing more than 3 months. She doesn’t know the cause  that makes her like that. Every time she writes, there is a heavy burden in her mind. Is it interesting? Is it funny? There are too much consideration that make her stuck in writing. Finally, she realizes that the cause due to her always see other people and she thought someone else better than her. Her friends had convinced her that she had a talent for writing and she is better than everyone else, but she still felt inferior. She tells her friends that she wanna be like Raditya Dika who has many interesting books with his style. He can writes funny story that can entertains many people and she wanna be like him. But, she always fails when she wants to write story because she thinks that she can’t write funny story like Raditya Dika. She’s just a calm girl who has low passion in joking, but she’s a romantic girl. She realizes of it and she wanna try to write romantic story. She writes story everyday and her story finishes in two months. The publisher company in Jakarta publishs her first book and she becomes a famous young writer now.

The second case is about the students at my senior high. I have a friend who named Rara. She is my bestfriend and we have been classmate for two years. Rara is a diligent person but sometimes she isn’t confident with herself. She tells me that she wants to have a boyfriend, but she is still alone up to now. She feels envy to Mita who is popular at school and has a handsome boyfriend. She tells me that she wants to change herself in order to becomes a popular girl like Mita.

Rara : Arum, I want to change myself!

Arum : What do you mean, Rara?

Rara : I mean that I wanna be like Mita who is popular and I wanna have a boyfriend.

Arum : Hey, don’t be like that. Do you know that you are beautiful? You have sweet smile and you are diligent person.

Rara : But, I have no boyfriend. Am I beautiful? I think you just entertain me!

Arum : I don’t lie and I like you just the way you are, you are my bestfriend. Please, just be yourself. I’m sure there will be a boy who likes you..

Unfortunately, rara doesn’t hear me and she changes her looking. I’m shocked when I see Rara wears a short skirt and many accessories at school. Not only me, my classmates laugh at her so  she runs and cries in the restroom. When I want to see her, I find her with Roy there. Roy is our classmate and I hear their conversation.

Roy : Rara, what’s wrong with you? ( but Rara’s still crying and doesn’t answer Roy’s question)

Roy : Rara, would you mind to tell me?

Rara : Am I disgraceful with my looking?

Roy : no, but why do you change your looking? Why do you wear these accessories and short skirt?

Rara : I just wanna be popular like Mita and I want to have boyfriend, I think there is no boy who likes me if I’m not good looking.

Roy : But you are good looking, Rara. I like you when you’re smiling , I like you when you’re saying and I like you because you are a diligent person. Rara, I like you just the way you are..

Finally, Roy tells Rara about his feeling. He likes Rara since we were in second grade and now they become a couple. I’m very happy to hear that.

From these case, we can get positive point. Be Ourself is very important thing. You can idolize other people, but just take positive things from them. You don’t need to change yourself. Because yourself is yourself, myself is myself. So, JUST THE WAY YOU ARE.

Pernah merasa sedih??

Depresi, bingung, kecewa, bahkan Galau??

Saya yakin setiap orag pernah merasakan hal demikian. Lantas bagaimana Anda mengatasinya??

Pastilah setiap orang juga memiliki caranya sendiri-sendiri untuk mengatasi masalahnya. Saya pun demikian, saya juga memiliki cara sendiri untuk mengatasi masalah saya, lebih tepatnya cara meringankan beban saya. 

Kali ini saya pun akan membahasnya dan sekaligus menceritakan sedikit pengalaman saya bersama teman-teman kuliah saya beberapa hari yang lalu. Saat saya sedang mendapatkan masalah yang membuat saya galau berkepanjangan, saya memiliki dua cara andalan. 

Yang pertama adalah menangis. Saat sedih, saya selalu memilih untuk menangis. Memang pada dasarnya, saya ini tergolong perempuan cengeng. Mudah sekali air mata keluar, seakan-akan persediaan air mata saya saking banyaknya, sampai-sampai untuk mengeluarkan air mata tidak tanggung-tanggung. Baik saat bahagia, maupun saat sedih. Menangis memang salah satu cara yang tepat untuk meluapkan kesedihan. Dengan menangis, beban yang saya rasakan berkurang, saya bisa merasa sedikit lega.

Yang kedua adalah berteriak. Mungkin sebagian orang berfikir itu adalah hal konyol. Tapi tidak bagi saya, justru berteriak adalah cara ampuh untuk meluapkan apa yang sedang saya rasakan, terlebih saat saya gundah gulana.

Jadi menangis dan berteriak adalah dua cara yang menurut saya ampuh untuk mengatasi kesedihan, khususnya bagi pribadi saya.

Pengalaman saya, lebih tepatnya pengalaman saya bersama teman-teman saya terjadi beberapa hari yang lalu, yaitu hari Senin, 20 Maret 2012 setelah melakukan pemotretan edisi foto ijazah. Saat itu, teman saya sedang sedih, yang bisa dibilang galau tingkat akut. Saya berinisiatif untuk mengajak dia dan beberapa teman lain pergi ke taman belakang gedung, karena tempat tersebut sepi, asri, dan cocok untuk meluapkan kesedihan. Ya, saya mengajak teman saya untuk berteriak sekencang-kencangnya. Saya meminta teman saya untuk mengeluarkan segala unek-uneknya dengan berteriak. Awalnya dia kesulitan, tapi kelamaan dia bisa berteriak kencang. Dan sepertinya usaha saya berhasil. Teman saya yang pada awalnya sering melamun dan murung, setelah berteriak dia bisa tersenyum dan lebih bersemangat. Betapa senangnya saya bisa melihat teman saya kembali bangkit. 

Saya berharap teman saya bisa menyudahi kesedihannya, kegalauannya, kemurungannya, dan bisa bangkit seperti sedia kala. Bisa tersenyum, tertawa, dan tentunya konsetrasi kuliah, mengingat kuliah kami tinggal beberapa bulan menuju kelulusan.

Yups, menangis dan berteriak adalah dua teknik dari sekian banyaknya teknik yang dapat mengatasi kesedihan dan kegalauan.

Beras untuk Bapak Pemulung yang Ulet

Subhanallah sekali hari ini, sesuatu yang luar biasa telah terjadi, dan membuat diri ini semakin menyadari bahwa betapa besar anugerah Allah yang diberikan kepada saya sepanjang 20 tahun lebih ini.. 

Alhamdulillah, Segala Puji Bagi Mu Tuhan Sekalian Alam. Terimakasih atas nikmat yang telah Engkau berikan.

Di tengah perjalanan pulang ke kos saya setelah pulang kuliah dan makan di sebuah warung makan KFC (Kalimongso Food Court), saya berpapasan dengan bapak pemulung sampah di jalan raya dekat kos saya. Saya pun memulai berdialog dengan beliau,

Saya : Maaf Pak, saya mempunyai beras yang sudah tidak saya masak. Apakah Bapak mau menerimanya?

Bapak : Mau, saya mau (singkat dan sangat antusias)

Saya : Kalau gitu, Bapak ikut saya. Itu kos saya (sambil menunjukkan dengan jari telunjuk)

Bapak : Iya mbak

Saya : Bapak tunggu bentar ya, saya mau ambil berasnya.. 

Lalu saya masuk kos dan mengambil 2 plastik beras, dan memberikannya kepada Bapak itu.

Saya : Ini Pak, berasnya. Ini beras sisa acara kelas saya, sudah lama. Yang plastik ini, masih bersih tapi ada semut sedikit. Nah, yang satunya lagi, sebelumnya maaf Pak, karena berasnya ada kutunya. Tapi Bapak bisa memberihkannya kok.

Bapak : Iyaa, gapapa mbak

Saya : Bapak tinggal dimana?

Bapak : Saya di Sarmili mbak

Saya : Bapak punya berapa anak? Tinggal sama istri juga?

Bapak : Anak saya 3 mbak, istri saya sudah lama meninggal

Saya : Innalillahiwainnailaihi rojiun, (shock dan tidak ingin bertanya lebih mengenai almh. istrinya). Owh gitu.. Bapak kerja setiap hari?

Bapak : Iyalah mbak, untuk mencari makan. Nyekolahin anak juga..

Saya : Iyaa Pak. Yaudah Pak, kalau gitu saya masuk dulu ya Pak, makasih

Bapak : Makasih ya mbak..

Saya : Iya Pak, sama2..

Beras yang saya berikan ke bapak pemulung tadi adalah beras sisa makrab kelas saya, yaitu kelas 3X. Berhubung pada bingung mau diapain berasnya, maka diputuskan beras tersebut akan disedekahkan. Dan Alhamdulillah, hari ini niat tersebut terlaksana. Terimakasih untuk 3X, hari ini kita telah membantu salah satu saudara kita yang kurang mampu. Semoga Allah membalas dengan Ridho-Nya. Amin

Bunga Daisy

Taukah kamu bunga Daisy???

Hmm.. kayak nama orang yaah...

Yupz, cantik memang namanya dan itu tercermin pula dari bentuknya yang sangat cantik dan menawan.

Diawali dengan menonton film korea berjudul "Daisy", saya terpesona dengan keindahan taman bunga yang ditampilkan dalam scene film tersebut. Taman bunga yang dipenuhi warna putih dari bunga Daisy nampak cantik dan romantis. Saya berangan-angan suatu saat bisa mendapati taman bunga seindah itu. Taman yang dipenuhi dengan bunga-bunga cantik dan berwarna pasti membuat mata saya takjub dan terpesona. Hmm...indah sekali dunia ini.

Bunga kelahiran April

Bunga daisy adalah bunga dari keluarga asteraceae sama halnya seperti bunga aster atau sunflower. Asteraceae adalah keluarga tumbuhan berbunga kedua terbesar dalam segi banyaknya species atau jenis. Bunga daisy cukup sederhana bentuknya, memiliki bundaran yang lebar di tengah dan dikelilingi oleh petal-petal yang seperti sinar matahari, mungkin karena inilah bunga ini mulai disebut jenis bunga sunflower. Macam warna bunga ini marah, orange, putih, ungu, tetapi sebagian besar warnanya putih.

Nah, Bunga Daisy ini memiliki makna lhoo...

BUNGA DAISY

Kepolosan, kemurnian, kesucian, kesetiaan, kelembutan, kesederhanaan

Putih : kepolosan, cinta setia

Merah : kecantikan yang tidak diketahui pemiliknya, cinta, tulus, sederhana, cinta yang jauh dari `gairah berlebihan, cinta diam-diam

Oranye : kehangatan, sukacita, semangat

Ada juga literatur yang bilang kalau bunga Daisy melambangkan keceriaan anak-anak, kemurnian, jiwa muda, dan juga cinta yang mengalahkan segalanya. Melambangkan kesucian dan kesetiaan.

Wah, memang bunga Daisy itu sangat mengagumkan. Semakin terpesona saya dan semakin ingin pula mendapati bunga Daisy dan tentunya Taman Bunga Daisy. So sweet :)

Api Abadi Mrapen

Mrapen adalah salah satu lokasi dari sekian keajaiban alam, disamping merupakan potensi wisata di Kabupaten Grobogan-Jawa Tengah. Api abadi Mrapen adalah sebuah kompleks yang terletak di desa Manggarmas, kecamatan Godong, Kabupaten Grobogan, Jawa Tengah. Kawasan ini terletak di tepi jalan raya Purwodadi - Semarang, berjarak 26 km dari kota Purwodadi. Kompleks api abadi Mrapen merupakan fenomena geologi alam berupa keluarnya gas alam dari dalam tanah yang tersulut api sehingga menciptakan api yang tidak pernah padam walaupun turun hujan sekalipun.

Banyak peristiwa besar mengambil api dari kompleks api abadi Mrapen sebagai sumber obornya, misalnya pesta olahraga internasional Ganefo I tanggal 1 November 1963. Api abadi dari Mrapen juga digunakan untuk menyalakan obor Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) mulai PON X tahun 1981, POR PWI tahun 1983 dan HAORNAS. Api abadi dari Mrapen juga digunakan untuk obor upacara hari raya Waisak.

Selain api abadi, di komplek tersebut juga terdapat kolam dengan air mendidih yang konon dapat dipergunakan untuk mengobati penyakit kulit, serta batu bobot yang konon apabila seseorang dapat mengangkatnya maka yang mengangkat tersebut akan mendapatkan keinginannya.

Asal Usul Desa Saya --> NGOMBAK

Saya dilahirkan dan dibesarkan di sebuah desa kecil bernama Desa Ngombak,  terletak di Kecamatan Kedungjati, Kabupaten Grobogan, Provinsi Jawa Tengah.

Desa Ngombak memiliki cerita, cerita itu setiap 2 tahun sekali diceritakan oleh salah satu abdi desa dalam acara Asrahbatin.

ASAL USUL DESA NGOMBAK
ASRAHBATIN

Pada jaman dahulu, hiduplah seorang janda yang bernama Larapan bersama kedua anaknya yang menginjak remaja disuatu tempat yang tidak disebutkan namanya. Dua anak tersebut terdiri dari laki-laki dan perempuan yang bernama DONO dan DINI. Pada suatu saat,kedua anak tersebut merasa lapar dan minta makan kepada ibunya yang sedang menanak nasi tetapi belum masak. Berkali-kali kedua anak tersebut minta makan pada ibunya,sehingga membuat kesabaran ibunya hilang. Dengan spontan ibunya memukul kepala si DONO dengan enthong sampai terluka. Si DONO merasa sakit hati dan kemudian pergi meninggalkan rumah tanpa pamit.

Setelah beberapa hari pergi,si DINI merasa kasihan dan berusaha untuk mencari kakaknya,sehingga ia ikut meniggalkan rumah ibunya.  Keduanya mengembara tak tahu tujuan.  Sekian lama pergi,si DINI belum bisa menemukan kakaknya.  Dalam perjalanan si DONO,ia menemukan beberapa tempat yang kemudian diberi nama olehnya. Diantaranya,pada suatu saat ia menemukan sungai yang penuh dengan batu karang yang baunya langu,sehingga tempat tersebut olehnya diberi nama Desa Karanglangu. Dan akhirnya ia menetap disitu ( Karanglangu ) seorang diri.  Sedangkan dalam perjalanan si DINI,ia juga mememukan beberapa tempat diantaranya,pada suatu saat ia melewati tepi sungai yang penuh dengan binatang kunang-kunang,sehingga tempat tersebut diberi nama Dusun Kalikonang. Kemudian meneruskan perjalananya dan menemukan tempat ditepi sungai yang penuh dengan pohon gandri sehingga tempat tersebut diberi nama Dusun Kedunggandri. Dan yang paling penting ia menemukan tempat yang tanahnya bergelombang-gelombang/ berombak-ombak,sehin- gga tempat tersebut diberi nama DESA MGOMBAK. Dan akhirnya iapun juga menetap disitu ( NGOMBAK ) seorang diri.

Setelah keduanya dewasa,keduanya bertemu sebagai seorang laki-laki dan perempuan dewasa,tapi keduanya tidak tahu kalau mereka bersaudara,sehingga keduanyapun saling tertarik. Akhirnya si DONO diajak mampir ke rumah si DINI. Sejak saat itu keduanya saling jatuh cinta.

Pada suatu saat,si DONO melamar si DINI yang hidup sendirian,dan lamaran tersebut diterima dengan senang hati. Pada kunjungan berikutnya, si DINI diminta oleh si DONO untuk memijit badannya. Saat asyiknya memijit,si DINI melihat bekas luka di kepala si DONO dan kemudian ia menanyakan penyebab luka tersebut. Oleh DONO diceritakan bekas luka itu,bekas luka itu dipukul ibunya dengan enthong pada saat masih remaja karena merengek-rengek minta makan. Jawaban tersebut menyebabkan si DINI kaget dan menerka-nerka dalam hati bahwa DONO adalah kakak kandungnya. Dan setelah keduanya bercerita panjang lebar,mereka menyadari bahwa mereka adalah saudara kandung. Akhirnyapun pertunangan mereka yang telah dilakukan,sepakat dibatalkan.

Dan untuk mempererat persaudaraan antara keduanya maka setiap 2 tahun sekali si DONO yang bertempat tinggal di Ds.Karanglangu berkunjung ke tempat adiknya si DINI yang bertempat tinggal di Ds.Ngombak. Acara tersebut masih diperingati sampai saat ini setiap tahun genap bulan September / Oktober yang dinamakan ASRAHBATIN.  Itulah kisah asal-usul terjadinya Ds.NGOMBAK.

Asrahbatin adalah acara 2 tahun sekali yang diadakan oleh Desa Ngombak dan Desa Karanglangu yang terpisah oleh sungai aliran dari sungai Tuntang. Acara ini digelar dengan jalan, para rakyat Karanglangu beserta kepala desanya yang menaiki kuda menyeberang sungai Tuntang yang merupakan perbatasan kedua desa, sedangkan para rakyat dan kepala Desa Ngombak bersiap-siap di sungai untuk menjemput kedatangan warga Karanglangu. Setelah saling bertemu, warga-warga saling bersalaman dan menuju kediaman kepala desa Ngombak. Disana, diceritakan asal mula Desa Ngombak dan Desa Karanglangu serta dusun-dusun yang terdapat di dalamnya. Acara ini diadakan sebagai bentuk silaturahmi kedua desa yang merupakan saudara, sekaligus meneruskan tradisi yang telah turun temurun mendarah daging di 2 desa. Di antara 2 desa itu pun, tidak diperbolehkan warganya saling jatuhcinta. Dalam arti, warga Desa Ngombak dilarang jatuhcinta dengan warga Karanglangu, dan sebaliknya. Namun , jika jatuhcinta sesama warga Ngombak, atau sesama warga Karanglangu haknya sah-sah saja. Pelarangan jatuhcinta antara 2 desa itu dikarenakan kedua desa masih memiliki tali ikatan persaudaraan seperti cerita di atas, dan jika larangan itu dilanggar konon dapat menimbulkan bencana yang akan menimpa kedua desa. Tradisi itu pun masih berlanjut sampai sekarang dan warga kedua desa selalu menghormati tradisi turun temurun itu.
